Expanding Financial Access: A New Credit Union Partnership for Our Community
/NIDC is proud to announce a new partnership with Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union, bringing expanded financial opportunities to our program participants and the wider Bronx community.
With the opening of the Bronx People's Federal Credit Union branch, NIDC clients and participants will now be eligible for credit union membership, offering greater access to affordable banking services, financial education, and resources designed to empower individuals and families. To prove your eligibility for membership through NIDC, select NIDC as the “select partner” when applying to open an account.
This new branch is the result of a powerful collaboration between the Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union and the Bronx Financial Access Coalition, working together to bring more financial stability and opportunity to our community.

The branch is already open for business, operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM in the Longwood section of the Bronx, just steps from the 2 and 5 train at Intervale Avenue and the Bx6 Select Bus Service.
